NFD SERIES – AUTO/MANUAL – 3.5M³ TO 51M³

SEA-FIRE FK-5-1-12 NFD Fire Suppression Systems are designed to protect enclosed machinery compartments. All NFD systems operate automatically through heat activation. Discharge will occur when the sensor valve temperature rises to the system activation range as shown on the specification label attached to each unit. Units with a “M” designation provide for a manual release capability as well. NFD systems are designed to induce a minimum atmospheric concentration of 5.85% within the protected compartment. Each system is equipped with a factory installed pressure switch which is intended for cylinder pressure supervision and may also be used to control other electrical functions (engine shutdown, air exchange equipment i.e fans & blowers, etc).

Marine approved in sizes from 3.5m³ up to 51m³ of engine compartment volume.
